Besalú
Guided visits in the medieval village of Besalú
We want to propose a trip to the Middle Ages. Besalú is one of the most captivating visits that can be made in the Garrotxa region. As soon as we cross the Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià, we enter a setting that takes us back to the town's most splendid era, cobbled streets and facades, vestiges of an important Jewish legacy with the oldest Mikvé that is preserved in Europe and churches with Gothic and Romanesque elements.
This visit can be combined with a stop at Banyoles with the largest lake in Catalonia, where we can enjoy a spectacular landscape and see the typical little bath houses that were built at the end of the s. XIX. If you want to round off the full day, you can go to visit the city of Girona, or the Castle of Púbol, a gift from Dalí to his wife Gala, or visit the Dalí museum in Figueres.
